Why we love it:
This series is wonderful in helping children navigate their emotions as they start to become more in touch and aware of what is going on around them, and in them. We especially love the amount of space and opportunity for discussion that this series has offered. The counter in each book is very useful, and the pointers offered for parents and caregivers on the last page is a great guide. Of course, the interactive pages with flaps, turn taps and more adds another dimension of engagement and fun!
Personally, we have introduced "I like to be Happy" and "Sometimes I am Angry" to our little boy, who is 24 months at the point of introduction, and he has been gradually been comprehending those two particular big feelings that a two-year old experiences frequently.
This particular title allows children to explore what it really means to apologize when we make another upset, even if it is not on purpose. Its concisely written content aids in their understanding of how sometimes our actions can unintentionally affect another negatively and how a sincere apology can turn things around for the better! Also available, I Can Be Patient, I Like To Be Kind, I Like To Be Happy and Sometimes I am Worried. /10 pages
