Why we love it:
This series is wonderful in helping children navigate their emotions as they start to become more in touch and aware of what is going on around them, and in them. We especially love the amount of space and opportunity for discussion that this series has offered. The counter in each book is very useful, and the pointers offered for parents and caregivers on the last page is a great guide. Of course, the interactive pages with flaps, turn taps and more adds another dimension of engagement and fun!
Personally, we have introduced "I like to be Happy" and "Sometimes I am Angry" to our little boy, who is 24 months at the point of introduction, and he has been gradually been comprehending those two particular big feelings that a two-year old experiences frequently.
In this particular title, children will learn the what triggers their anger, and why. The book assists them to think about solutions when they get angry and ponder about what might calm them down. It is imperative to help the little ones manage big feelings because it is a subject that even adults may find hard to approach! Also available, I Can Say Sorry, I Can Be Patient, I Like To Be Kind, I Like To Be Happy, and Sometimes I am Worried. /10 pages
